Join the network

The first meetings of the Aboriginal Women's Sexual Assault Network were designed to bring local women together form 4 different regions:

  • Metropolitan Sydney (Wollongong to Newcastle and west to the Mountains)
  • South (Wollongong to the Border and the Riverina)
  • North(North of Newcastle to the Tweed)
  • West (West of the Mountains)

The initial meetings in each regioninclude facilitated discussions on:

  • what’s happening in the community
  • changing the level of sexual assault in the community
  • the role of the network supporting women, and the importance of self-care for workers and community advocates, and
  • how the network would function and communicate with members and the wider community
