There are a number of government agencies and organisations that may be relevant for Aboriginal women who are supporting people in their communities who have experienced sexual assault. These include:

  • Enough Is Enough

A long term anti-violence project based on personal responsibility and reform through education
  • Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Assault

The Royal Commission will inquire into how institutions with a responsibility for children have managed and responded to allegations and instances of child sexual abuse.

NSW Crime Bureau allows access to the statistics in crime happening across NSW.

  •  Joint Investigations Response Team (JIRT)

Joint Investigation Response Teams (JIRTs) are made up of Community Services, NSW Police and NSW Health professionals who undertake joint investigation of child protection matters.

  • The Australian Centre For Social Innovation (TACSI)

The Australian Centre for Social Innovation was created to tackle Australia’s tough social challenges. After three years of hands-on work developing solutions, we’re now widening our scope and providing new kinds of support to NGOs, governments and businesses who, like us, want to see Australia thrive.
